Thing 13
Zoho Writer is ok, but unless you are into high technological applications you can just use your normal Word document to do your writings. Seems simple enough for the writing portion, but trying to export things, I'm not sure how those things work. You would need to really get into it to understand it. Didn't really know that those type of applications were available for use. http://writer.zoho.com/index.do

Thing 12
Getting Google Alerts would be nice to have to get information on certain items of interest. I started this account today to check on golf information. I also started the Picasa web albums. http://picasaweb.google.com/home. Don't have much any it yet, but I can see as I go through the days I might want to put certain pictures in there. I'm not sure I will have anyone that wants to share with me. The Google Alerts can help people with news, web pages, blog posts, videos, new posts, and a combination of all of these. The calendar could help someone keep on task on a daily basis. This could help a teacher keep things together and not forget important dates and times. Even students could use this effectively. I'm sure many teachers would like to use the alerts to help them keep track of new developments in their respective fields. I'm not so sure about the notebook option. Don't think I would use this for anything in my life.

Thing ll
I went a head and subscribed to Bloglines. This seemed one of the easiest to find blogs or just find out information about different things. I actually subscribed in the RSS THING. But, I could use the site as well as any. I couldn't get to Feedster for some reason. The easiest on the new ones was Syndica8.com, I could find what ever I wanted to on this site. I could find out about things in sports which I like doing and in education like 2.0. The Topix.net didn't work very well and the Google Blog seemed to take me all over the place. Couldn't really navigate that well. So Google Blog was the most confusing for me. If you are a showbiz or Hollywood junky, I guess that Technorati would be your site.
