Thing Six
Good afternoon, I finally found site that was right up my alley. (oobgolf) This is a neat site. I didn't realize you could do things like this. I don't know if there are any other golfers in the class, but I thought this was pretty good. This site is a free site to sign up for and this site will do quite a bit for the avid golfer. It keeps track of your scores and you can input them in by either computer or cell phone. So you can be out at the links and input your stats while your still out there. This system will keep up with your stats and you can check on how your doing at any time. If you have friends that you play with all the time, you can add them or have them join in. Then you can create a group of people and keep all their stats together, almost like a league or something. You can access information about golf equipment and this site will connect you to sites that sell equipment and give you the best deals around the country. Most golfers like to keep up with their handicap and this site does that for you. It has a formula already in for the courses you play. The information is there and then gives you the outcome. This site can keep up with your stats like, fairways hit, greens in regulation, putts per round or hole, and sand saves. You can see how others are doing and you can check out the ratings of other courses that you might want to play. The last interesting thing is that you can blog with other golfers about events of the week or just about anything you want to talk about. I think this is the neatest site I've seen for this type of stuff. You can get there by going to www.oobgolf.com.

Tim, I have TONS of golfers in my family, and I think they would really like this. My dad and uncles play in numerous tournaments throughout the year, and I think they would like to keep tabs on one another. Friendly competition, of course. We also have a family reunion each year, and they always hold a family scramble. This might help organize it a little better. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWell that is great Tim. I'm not sure I really want to know how bad I am though.....This is another great example of how technology enables everyday non-technological people to use technology to enhance their lives. There is a song called "HIGH TECH, RED NECK".....How true!!
ReplyDeleteI would say you have this stuff figured out.
